We had a fantastic stay at this 4-star hotel. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the station, making it convenient for day trips along the Alpine Route. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing us with a shuttle service to and from the station. The hotel itself had a traditional Japanese design, giving it a unique and authentic feel. We were able to relax and unwind in the onsen, which was a great way to end our busy days of exploring. The food at the hotel was exceptional, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We were truly impressed with the quality and taste of the meals. this place exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, service, and amenities.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us find our way to the hotel after our original route was closed due to a typhoon. The room was spacious and offered stunning mountain views. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional spa facilities, especially the outdoor onsen. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options. The hotel's proximity to Tateyama Station made it a convenient starting point for our Alpine Route adventure. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful setting, and amazing spa facilities.

The stunning mountain view from the outdoor onsen and the helpful staff that went out of their way to make our stay memorable were the best aspects of our getaway. the variety and quality of the multi-course Japanese evening banquet and the excellent breakfast options were absolutely add-ons.
The outdated and smelly parts of the hotel, and the poor presentation of the dinner meal, which also lacked in both taste and freshness, left us with the worst aspects of our experience. The hotel shuttle bus to the key location, while convenient, was crowded and not very timely.

Nestled amongst the stunning mountains, this wonderful hotel offers an excellent location for visitors to explore the Alpine route. the spacious Japanese, style rooms feature convenient luggage areas and comfortable seating with beautiful mountain views. the first, class spa facilities, including outdoor hot springs, provide the ultimate relaxation after hours of hiking. Delicious breakfast and dinner options cater for Western and Japanese tastes, while staff, although without much English, are friendly and helpful. the hotel also boasts excellent parking and a shuttle bus to the Alpine route start station.
Some areas of the hotel may not be to everyone's taste, as parts have an old, fashioned feel, and smells of cigarette smoke may linger in areas of the older building.
